Pat Albeck has been designing textiles since the 1950s. Initially she designed for fashion textiles at Horrockses but moved to Cavendish textiles who supplied furnishing fabrics to John Lewis. In the 1960s she became colour consultant at Marks and Spencer and started a life long love of designing Tea Towels. Her work is hand drawn using water colours and paper cut out techniques. Her designs are iconic and have evolved across the decades. Her most recent work has been for her daughter in law, Emma Bridgewater, designing wallpapers.
