David Batchelor is an artist working primarily with 3D installation pieces, often light based. However he also makes drawings which I think are more interesting. They seem to be sketches sometimes for the 3D pieces but I think what I like the most about them is the use of black against the luminous primary colours.
Batchelor also writes about colour. His edited edition, Colour, features passages from a range of artists, theorists and philosophers which I found really helpful for accessing colour theory concepts.
