Boeme Design are an English interior fabrics company specialising in luxury fabrics, upholstery and cushions. The fabrics are inspired by Jo Bound (company founder)’s art work. Boeme is a good example of the types of prints that digital textile printing can produce. The range of tones and colours and the mark making is something that traditional printing could not reproduce.

The fabrics are aimed at the luxury interiors market and the prices reflect that. Boeme exhibited at Decorex 2015 and I spoke to them briefly about how the fabrics were made. They were very keen to emphasise that the coatings they used on their fabrics had very high standards for light fastness so that the colours did not fade. They use a range of fabrics but like BlackPop print primarily on cotton velvet, a difficult fabric to print on using digital textile printing.
