Steve Rigley is a designer, writer and academic based at Glasgow School of Art. He works across a number of disciplines but his digital textile prints particularly explore colour, particularly process colours (CMYK) and incorporating photographic imagery which of course will use a broad colour range to represent images.

Much of his digital textile prints are inspired by and incorporate abandoned off-set-litho prints which were used to check that the ink was printing correctly. They were reused so images were printed over them and this layering and montage of images has inspired much of Steve’s own imagery. He also separates the colours into one of the process colours echoing traditional printing processes that these images derive from. (Carden 2016)
