Jim Lambie works in a variety of media to create ultra colourful installations. He uses colour to destroy form and confuse the eye. By placing vinyl tape on the floor for instance the eye struggles to see where steps fall away, an illusory affect Lambie has continued with the introduction of reflective surfaces and folds into his work. Tricking the eye is a playful way to explore the affects of colour and an interesting means of experimenting with colour perception to question whether colour is objective or subjective.
